Luck of the Irish Raffle - March 2010
In an effort to keep you up-to-date on the latest orthodontic techniques, Dr. Godwin offers
a continuing education course entitled "Early Orthodontic Treatment". This one-hour
lecture and slide show presentation, for dentists, hygienists and dental assistants, reviews
the diagnostic criteria for early orthodontic treatment with the following objectives:
This course has been approved by the Maryland Dental Board for one hour of CE credit.
Registration is free and seating is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.If you are
interested in obtaining details on our upcoming course, email us with your name, office
location and telephone number. We will be happy to send you information along with a
registration form for the next course.

- To distinguish between early (Phase I) orthodontic treatment and comprehensive
(Phase II) orthodontic treatment; - To discuss the age at which children should be screened for malocclusion;
- To outline the stages of normal dental development;
- To describe the types of malocclusion requiring early intervention;
- To examine the treatment modalities used to correct these types of malocclusions;
- To discuss timing of comprehensive (Phase II) orthodontic treatment;
- To define “leeway space” and discuss the importance of leeway space in the
resolution of crowding; - To allow participants to present questions regarding orthodontic care.
